Campus Life
![]() Living on campus allows you to better experience American college life, where you can share in and contribute to the social and cultural life of the College. AccommodationsEnglish Language Institute students are accommodated in comfortable residential housing (dormitories or "dorms"). Each dorm is supervised by a Resident Assistant who is available to help students. The dorms are just a short walk to all of the facilities and services on campus. The residence consists of two floors. Each floor consists of:
Study bedrooms are comfortable and centrally heated. Towels and bed linens are provided free of charge and are exchanged weekly. Student lounges with television, video player, a public telephone and a laundry room are available. A typical resident floor plan:
Your RoommateYou may choose to be accommodated in a single room or a shared room. If you select a shared room, we will choose a roommate who does not speak your language to encourage you to use English as a common language.* Friends attending ELI together can be accommodated in the same room upon request. * Every effort is made to fulfill requests but we do not guarantee roommate arrangements.
MealsIncluded in the accommodation fees are breakfast, lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday, and brunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays (19 meals per week). Meals are taken in the Dining Hall in the Campus Center. The food is varied and plentiful. Below is a typical menu:
Soup, salad bar, sandwiches, pasta bar, pizza bar and desserts are offered at lunch and dinner. "Brunch," served on the weekends, is a meal that combines late breakfast and early lunch.
Campus SafetyPine Manor College is a safe and quiet environment in which to live and study. Each residence has its own Resident Assistant available 24 hours a day to help with emergencies or give advice and assistance. In addition to the Resident Assistants, the College has its own uniformed Campus Safety personnel service, who are available 24 hours a day. Campus Safety can provide immediate help in an emergency, and are available to help with questions or concerns at any time. |
