Whitney Retallic, Director
Whitney has been at Pine Manor College since August 2000, working first in the Student Life Department and moving into the Cilsr in 2002. At Pine Manor, Whitney's work has included conducting leadership programs for PMC students, planning and facilitating youth programs, teach two First-Year Seminars, teach and annual course on "inclusive leadership and social responsibility," building community partnerships, and advising student organizations. Whitney received her B.A. from Wellesley College, with a major in Women's Studies and a minor in Psychology. She received her M.Ed. from Boston University in the Community Agency Education Program.
Jennifer Ward, Assistant Director for Youth Outreach and Leadership Programs
Jennifer has dual roles at PMC. In addition to her work in the Cilsr, she is also the Assistant Coordinator of Career Services. In the Leadership Center, she primarily focuses on leadership programs for middle and high school girls and early college awareness programs. In 2007, she earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Her baccalaureate degree is in Sociology with a concentration in Service and Community and minors in Women's Studies and Psychology. Prior to joining Pine Manor College, she was the Assistant Coordinator of Program Operations for the Mayor's Summer Employment Program for the City of Cambridge.
Carol Axelrod, ACCESS Coalition Coordinator
Carol is licensed as a psychotherapist (LICSW), and has practiced for the past twenty-five years at Rasi Associates in Copley Square, Boston. In 2001 Carol began doing career counseling both at Rasi Associates and at Brandeis University where she worked until Spring 2008, when she started coordinating the ACCESS Coalition. The Coalition is a grant-funded collaborative of six small, mostly eastern Massachusetts liberal arts colleges sharing their best practices serving their low-income and minority student populations.
Tasia Cerezo, MACC AmeriCorps*VISTA
In the Cilsr, Tasia helps to build community on and off campus, develop and maintain community partnerships, and assist faculty in incorporating service-learning into their syllabi. Tasia has a B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining Pine Manor College, she was an External Affairs intern at Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership.
