Snow Emergency Policy
If Pine Manor College is officially closed or classes are cancelled as a result of a snow emergency, the Annenberg Library—staffed by designated resident work-study students—will make every effort to be open (with limited services) to the community. In the event of a snow emergency, please call the Library at 671-731-7081 to make sure that the Library is open. The hours are as follows:
Weekdays
Monday - Thursday: 1 – 5:00 p.m.
If weather conditions improve throughout the day to the point that regularly scheduled evening staff can travel safely to the campus by 5 p.m., the library will remain open until 10 p.m. as usual.
If Pine Manor College officially closes or cancels classes in the middle of a weekday as a result of a snow emergency but the library remains open, designated resident work-study students will staff the library from the time the college closes until 5 p.m. at which time the library will also close.
Weekends
Saturday & Sunday: 1 – 5:00 p.m.
If a snow emergency develops on the weekend, designated resident work-study students will staff the library from 1:00 – 5:00.
Evenings
If a snow emergency develops between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on weekdays (Monday – Thursday) and no official decision to close the college is made, the Library Director, in consultation with the Dean of the College, will decide whether or not to close the library early.
