Gloria Nemerowicz became the ninth President of Pine Manor College in July 1996. She came to Pine Manor College from Wells College in Aurora, New York, where she served as the Executive Director of the Women's Leadership Institute. Previously, Dr. Nemerowicz served as Vice Provost at Monmouth College in New Jersey, where she was also a tenured Associate Professor of Sociology. She received widespread recognition and grant awards for the philosophy and design of Education for Inclusive Leadership & Social Responsibility (ILSR)—a comprehensive, college-wide educational plan of curriculum, co-curriculum, faculty development, and community programs to integrate learning and teaching. An active scholar, writer and speaker, Nemerowicz is the author of Children's Perceptions of Gender and Work Roles, and co-author of Professionalism in Unpaid Work. Her latest book, Education for Leadership & Social Responsibility, was co-authored with Eugene Rosi, Executive Assistant to the President at Pine Manor College. Her op-ed pieces have appeared in national newspapers. She received her B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from Rutgers University.
