Pine Manor Board of Trustees named Joseph Lee, Ph.D., PMC's 11th President

We begin 2014 with very exciting news. On behalf of the Pine Manor College Board of Trustees, I am so pleased to announce that Dr. E. Joseph Lee has officially been named the 11th president of the college.

Many of you have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Lee since he joined Pine Manor as Interim President in July of 2013. He has quickly had a major impact at the college, affirming the Board’s decision that he is the ideal leader for our institution. As Interim President, Joe successfully guided Pine Manor through the rigorous New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) accreditation review and expanded outreach to prospective students — which has contributed to an increase in enrollment and applications to the college. He is also committed to creating greater financial stability and sustainability for our institution, and has already made strides in this critical area during the past six months.

Dr. Lee brings to Pine Manor 35 years of experience in the field of higher education. Prior to joining the Pine Manor family, Dr. Lee served as president of St. Joseph’s College in Maine and Thomas More College in Kentucky. While he is eagerly committed to the college’s progress, he also understands and respects our school’s rich and important history. As president, Dr. Lee will continue to promote many of the staple values that are central to our college’s mission, including a student-focused learning environment, the importance of both academic and personal growth, and the practical use of knowledge and skills learned.

This past year was full of growth and progress at Pine Manor, and we are confident that through Dr. Lee’s expert leadership, we can make 2014 even more transformative.
