A standout softball player at Division II Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) and a three-sport high-school athlete in soccer, basketball and softball at Cardinal Spellman High School, Bernstein brings a great deal of athletic experience and success to Pine Manor.

“I’m excited and grateful to have the opportunity to coach both of these programs,” said Bernstein. “I look forward to getting started this spring and helping to build both programs in the coming months.”

Prior to arriving at Pine Manor, Bernstein served as a softball pitching coach at Bentley University, while also working as the Inventory Control Manager at Fielder’s Choice Sports in Taunton, MA. A two-year team captain, she was named to the 2009 Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team after concluding her collegiate career with a 3.52 career ERA, collecting 222 career strikeouts and winning 35 games and pitching over 400 innings. Bernstein’s prowess was not limited to the pitching circle as she also finished with .320 career hitting average, collecting 140 hits over her four years at SNHU.

Bernstein also collected numerous accolades during her high school career as a three-sport athlete at Cardinal Spellman. A four-year starter in soccer, basketball and softball, Bernstein also served as a team captain in all three sports. In both 2004 and 2005, Bernstein was awarded the Massachusetts Gatorade Softball Player of the Year Award as well as the Boston Globe Division II Softball Player of the Year award. She was also awarded with the 2005 Brockton Enterprise Softball Player of the Year award.
