Last Thursday our community lost Michele Talbot. Since she joined Pine Manor in 1972, she has been a teacher and mentor to countless students and a colleague and friend to many alumnae, faculty, and staff. Michele was a teacher and scholar and always a student. She led by the example of her persistent inquiry, her common sense, and most important, her unfailing confidence in the College and its students. Michele’s was a life that inspired and a life to celebrate.
A memorial service to remember and celebrate Michele’s life is scheduled for Friday February 22nd at 11am at the Church of the Redeemer on Hammond Street. Michele’s family welcomes faculty, staff and students who wish to attend.
The College will run a shuttle bus to the Church beginning at 10:15. The shuttle will continue to run until everyone has returned to the campus. Parking is very limited at the church; we encourage everyone to use the shuttle if you plan to attend the service.
