NursingStudents who have been accepted for admission to Pine Manor College are welcomed to participate in the College’s articulated Nursing Program with Boston College School of Nursing. Students in the Program spend two to three years at Pine Manor and transfer to complete their bachelor’s degree at the Boston College Connell School of Nursing. Admission to the Nursing Program is highly competitive; students should have completed a minimum of two years of high school science including Biology and Chemistry and a minimum of three years of high school mathematics. Students must maintain a 3.2 cumulative average through each semester at Pine Manor and must follow the prescribed Program of Study. Students will take three courses at Boston College during the first two years of the program as well as specific Pine Manor courses. Requirements to start this program at Pine Manor College:

Program of StudyThe Program of Study includes coursework in scientific knowledge as well as the theoretical and clinical topics directly related to nursing. During the candidate’s first years at Pine Manor, the program emphasizes science and foundational skills as well as liberal arts. Science courses include:
Coursework at the Boston College’s Carroll School of Nursing includes theoretical and The strength of a student’s background in mathematics and sciences will determine both her starting point and her sequence of courses. All students should take BI 101 in their first year, and most students take Anatomy and Physiology in their sophomore year. Students needing to build strong foundational skills may be required to take three years of courses at Pine Manor before being eligible to transfer to Boston College. Students interested in the Program must meet with Professor Michele Talbot to select courses for each semester. |
