Computer Studies

Minor in Computer Studies

Our Computer Studies courses are designed to meet the needs of all students from computer novices to experienced users. In addition to a basic introductory course, we offer a group of two-credit, half-semester courses in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and FrontPage, as well as courses in programming, operating systems, and networks. Students with a basic knowledge of computers may take one or two of the 2-credit courses in one semester.

The Computer Studies minor is designed to increase the opportunities for students who are interested in working with computers. The required courses in the minor include the basics of computer hardware, software, and programming; the remaining courses allow students to choose among several directions: programming, theory, and
operations.
