Music, dance, and theatre are an integral part of the Pine Manor experience and have a long tradition at the College. Students may elect courses in the Performing Arts, as well as various opportunities for performance in music, dance, and theatre. While the College does not offer a major in the Performing Arts, minors are available in music, dance, and theatre. The Camerata, our singing ensemble, performs both on-and off-campus as does the Dance Ensemble. In addition, Dance students present an annual Concert, while Theatre students produce a fall and spring play. There are also opportunities for independent study that may include performance. Such involvement promotes an understanding and appreciation of the performing arts, fosters collaborative work, builds self-confidence, and encourages creativity.
