Welcome to Pine Manor College!

We are excited that you are considering Pine Manor College in Boston.

For over a century, Pine Manor College has focused on providing an educational experience for students of promise from many different backgrounds. Today, we are proud to say that our campus is home to students from throughout the world, each of whom adds to the educational experience of every other member of our close campus community. We believe it is an ideal place to learn about yourself and the world.

Pine Manor is an environment for you to strengthen your voice as you explore your interests in and out of the classroom. The leadership skills you develop here and through internships in the community will help you realize your true potential and prepare you for your career goals or to pursue an advanced degree after graduation.

Pine Manor College is nestled in beautiful Chestnut Hill, just minutes from Boston and all this world-class city has to offer. Our 50-acre wooded campus provides welcoming and peaceful surroundings that foster a caring community of learners. We also provide a shuttle that will take you to the Chestnut Hill “T” (subway station), and easily get anywhere in greater Boston via an excellent transit system. Boston is a world-class city with tens of thousands of students. You’ll enjoy being in a city that is rich in history, culture, architecture, and world cuisines, and easily explored on foot.

Pine Manor College welcomes first-year and transfer students, domestic or international, for fall or spring semester entrance (we are rolling admissions). Students may enroll full- or part-time, as residential students or commuters. In addition to academic achievement, each candidate for admission is offered individual assessment with qualities such as seriousness of purpose, leadership, social responsibility, motivation, breadth and depth of interests, life experience, and extracurricular activities considered in the application process.

Letter from the Dean of Enrollment & Admissions

Pine Manor College is all about your success. We achieve our mission of ‘Educating with Purpose’ by getting to know you, your dreams, your aspirations, and your motivations. Our faculty and staff are committed to your personal success as much as to your academic achievements. If you are just as committed to reaching your goals, we will be thrilled to join forces with you and support your journey.

Pine Manor College is not your typical college. Just minutes from downtown Boston, the college enjoys about 50 acres of landscaped grounds. Our beautiful campus, located in the sought-after Brookline neighborhood of Chestnut Hill, is home to under 500 students. And it is indeed a home away from home. Our small community is our strength. It allows our faculty and staff to provide a support structure rarely seen on college campuses.

Our community of learners includes 84% students who are the first in their families to go to college, and 85% who are coming from underrepresented communities. We thrive on our uniqueness and celebrate our focus on student success, and to achieve that we created the Student Success Initiative. Among other resources, the initiative designates both an Academic Coach and a Success Coach to each one of our students, essentially providing at least two mentors to support you on your college journey. Our priority is to ensure all of our students feel empowered and encouraged throughout their career at Pine Manor College.

There are concrete outcomes to that individualized approach: For the last two years all of our graduates - yes, 100% of our 2016 and 2017 graduating classes - were either employed or pursuing advanced degrees within 6 months of graduation. They came to Pine Manor College dreaming of a B.A. degree, however, they completed their education with a career!

There are many different ways to define success. What will your definition be? Join our family of driven students and be inspired to define and achieve your own success. We will be here to cheer you on all the way through.

Go Gators!
