COVID-19 (Coronavirus) information

Following Governor Charlie Baker declaration of a State of Emergency in Massachusetts, and the concerns about the spread of COVID-19 (Corona Virus), Pine Manor College is responding proactively.

First, know that, as of March 13th, there has been no diagnosed cases of coronavirus on campus and that PMC students are not experiencing any elevated level of sickness beyond what would occur normally on campus at this time of year. The College is monitoring the situation daily and will alert the community should we learn of any change in this situation. The College is also keeping in close contact with the Brookline Department of Public Health.

The Admissions Department is dedicated to continuing to evaluate students and assisting them through the Pine Manor College application process. Our office is will remain open virtually. We will continue to have our student interviews, but through one of the many video conference that are available to us. Please contact your Admissions Counselor if you need to complete this step or if you have any questions about the status of your application.

Keeping in the safety and taking precautions, we are not hosting tours at this time. Once we are cleared, we will be hosting visits once again!

In the meantime, please feel free to reach our via text (617.512.3064) or email (admissions@pmc.edu) if you have any questions!

Thank you for your continued commitment to keeping our community safe and healthy.

Letter from the Dean of Enrollment & Admissions

At Pine Manor College, we are committed to creating the right setting to ensure each student’s success. Our mission states that we are: “to make certain that all graduates are prepared to take meaningful steps in their lives: engaging in new jobs and careers, continuing to learn, and positively contributing to their communities. Students, including those who are the first in their families to attend college, who are looking for a purposeful education in a personalized and inclusive learning community will find a home at Pine Manor College.”  We weave this mission into everything we do. It is in the way we work with each student, help them discover their passion, empower them to dream big, and find real paths to reach their goals.

Our community of learners includes 84% students who are the first in their families to go to college, and 85% who are coming from underrepresented communities.  We thrive on our uniqueness and celebrate our focus on student success through our Student Success Initiative.  Among other resources, the initiative designates both an Academic Advisor and a Success Coach to each one of our students for the full duration of your college career, essentially providing at least two mentors to support you on your college journey.

Pine Manor College is not your typical college.  Just minutes from downtown Boston, the college enjoys about 50 acres of landscaped grounds.  Our beautiful campus, located in the sought-after Brookline neighborhood of Chestnut Hill, is home to under 500 students.  And it is indeed a home away from home.

Our small community is our strength.  It allows our faculty and staff to provide a support structure rarely seen on college campuses. And there are concrete outcomes to that individualized approach: 95% of our graduates are either employed or pursuing advanced degrees within 6 months of graduation.  They came to Pine Manor College to pursue a bachelor’s degree, however, they completed their education with a career!

There are many different ways to define success.  What will your definition be?  Join our family of driven students and be inspired to define and achieve your own success.  We will be here to cheer you on all the way through!

Go Gators!
