Senior Volleyball player Jennifer Gross (Coral Springs, FL) was named the 2011-2012 Pine Manor College Athlete of the Year during the 2012 Awards Ceremony, held on Wednesday May 2 in the Founders Room of the Ferry Administrative Building.
The 2012 Pine Manor College Athletic Department Awards Ceremony will take place next Wednesday May 2, 2012 in the Founders Room, located in the Ferry Administration Building. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and the ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Pine Manor College dropped both games of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball doubleheader to Suffolk University on Saturday April 21 at Popoulo Field in Boston, MA. Suffolk rallied to erase a 7-0 lead to win game one, 8-7, before holding on for a 5-4 victory in game two.
Pine Manor College senior Kayla Provost (Saco, ME) delivered an RBI single in the top of the seventh inning to secure a 3-2 victory over Simmons College in game two of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader on Friday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, MA. Simmons freshmen Lauren Backhaus (Windsor, CT) pitched a shutout to help Simmons earn the victory 3-0 in game one.
Johnson & Wales University sophomore Taylor Cwalinski (Jackson, NJ) no-hit Pine Manor in game one as part of a JWU sweep during of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball doubleheader on Sunday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, MA. Cwalinski struck out ten batters, walking only one over seven shutout innings for a 4-0 victory.
