Head Coach

Alex GouldAlex Gould enters his second full season as Gators coach in 2010-11.

"I am thrilled to be part of the Pine Manor program and look forward to improved success moving forward," said the first-year coach.

In his first full season, his work with forward Paulette Wright saw her improve from an unrefined low post talent to the leading rebounder in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference and one of the league's top all-around talents.

Gould attended the University of Rochester, where he was a letter-winner on the Yellowjackets soccer team. He graduated in 1999 with a degree in history and then moved to San Francisco, where he coached freshman boys basketball at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, CA.

He moved on to coach boys varsity basketball at the Athenian School in Danville, CA, leading the Owls to their first playoff birth in six years. After earning his master's degree in education from San Francisco State University, he moved back to Boston in 2004.

A history teacher at Beaver Country Day School, Gould has coached boys and girls varsity soccer, freshman boys basketball and junior varsity boys basketball at Beaver County.

Gould is married. His wife, Darcy, is a strength and conditioning coach at Boston University. They live in Waltham, MA.

Assistant Coach

Stacey Tiamfook is entering her second season as Gators assistant coach in 2010-11. 

Prior to Pine Manor, Tiamfook coached at several developmental basketball camps throughout the Northeast, including Vassar College and Charlie Ward Basketball Camps.

A native of Brooklyn, NY, Tiamfook was a two-time academic All-American at Midwood High School.  From 2001-03, she starred at Vassar College, where she earned letters on the women’s basketball and soccer teams.  On the hardwood, she worked her way into the Brewers record books, leaving among the school’s Top 10 in single-season steals and assists.  She also worked as a student intern athletic trainer while at Vassar.

In 2003, she transferred to Cornell University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science with a focus on comparative biology and nutrition.

Tiamfook resides in Boston and works as a microbiologist for the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research.
