The April 20, 2009 issue of Hispanic Outlook included a two-page
feature of the PMC BioScholar's Program. The Program, funded by the
National Science Foundation, offers support to promising student
studying biology. The article included an interview with Ashley
Aguayo-Ramos, a 19 year old from Puerto Rico, and a sophomore majoring
in biology with a concentration on veterinary studies. She was one of
the first recipients of the NSF BioScholars Grant. Ashley's current
goal is "to prepare for an internship and employment in a
science-related field."
