Information Technology at Pine Manor

Pine Manor College enjoys a recently rebuilt high-speed computing network. Students have access to e-mail, the Internet, a campus computer network, and computers located throughout the campus. Laptop connections are also available in some areas.

Software for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, statistics, Web page development, graphic design, desktop and electronic publishing, digital media, and specialized course software is available for student use on College computers in classrooms and labs. Students are provided with an e-mail account, network storage space for files, and 25MB of Web space on our community Web site at Community.pmc.edu.

Each residence hall room includes a high-speed Internet connection (one for each student) at no additional charge. Students are not charged a technology fee for the use of any computing resources. Additionally, free, best-effort helpdesk support is provided for any problem with student-owned computers.
