Internship Opportunities
Curatorial Intern DeCordova Museum |
Curatorial interns at DeCordova engage
in a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities as they participate
in the day-to-day operations of a contemporary art museum and sculpture
park. Interns work closely with staff curators and registrar, and
help to install exhibitions, update collection files, maintain
records, process loans of artwork, organize daily office operations,
and conduct art historical research related to exhibitions or the
Permanent Collection.
DeCordova Museum seeks self-motivated interns, graduate students in Art History or Museum Studies, or undergraduate students in Art History (juniors and seniors only) with strong organizational abilities and computer skills. Prospective applicants should be aware that these are unpaid, volunteer positions and that no public transportation serves DeCordova Museum: A car is a must. Internships are available in the summer, fall, and winter/spring semesters, 2 days/week minimum commitment. Interested individuals should send a cover letter, resume, and writing sample to Curator Nick Capasso. For further information, contact the Curatorial Fellow at (781) 259-3627 or curatorialfellow@decordova.org
