Recent PMC Promotions
October 2007
Yveline Previl ’04 was promoted to Assistant Director of Financial Aid. In her new role, Yveline will work closely with Adrienne Hynek to continually improve the department. Stacey Corin was promoted to Assistant Director of Admissions and Coordinator for Urban Access and Community Partnerships. Stacey has been charged with approaching the expansion of our community in an organized, proactive, and targeted manner. In only a few months, Stacey has moved several partnerships to new heights and is partnering with Veronica Rosario ’04 on the expansion of this initiative. Donnaree Wynter ’05 was promoted to Senior Admissions Counselor and Coordinator for Campus Events. Her capacity to make a difference was also recognized by the My Turn organization which recently selected her for the prestigious “Hero Award”. In her expanded role, Donnaree will coordinate, with the assistance of Julie Petrarca ’05, all of the recruitment events. Janna Spinazola was promoted to the Director of International Recruitment and will devote her considerable talents to a collaborative, ilsr effort to expand the international student body at Pine Manor College. Her key partners in this endeavor include our gifted colleagues Steve Donavan, Rhonda Seidman and Bob Tracey.

Bob Owczarek played "Father Dave" in the movie In the Land of the Merry Misfits (shot in 1998). The film was screened at the Boston Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year.

Sharon Montella has been rehearsing with Kelley Donovan and dancers and will be performing at the Joyce Soho Theater in New York City September 27-28, 2007.

Semester at Sea: Jennifer Mintzer
September 2007
Assistant Professor of Communication Jen Mintzer was a visiting lecturer on the Spring 2007 Semester at Sea voyage that circumnavigated the world, visiting the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Brazil, South Africa, Mauritius, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Japan and Hawaii. On the voyage, Prof. Mintzer taught three courses and led field trips in each country. Her adventures include watching Carneval parades in Brazil, going on safari in South Africa, seeing the Taj Mahal in India, visiting the temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, walking along the Great Wall in China and going skydiving in Hawaii. One of the highlights of the trip was the company of Archbishop Desmond Tutu who was onboard during the entire three and a half month voyage. Prof. Mintzer highly recommends the experience to anyone who loves to travel and learn about other cultures and says it was one of the best experiences of her life.

New Athletic Director: Erin Brennen
September 2007
Erin Brennen was recently promoted to the position of Director of Athletics. She has been involved in athletics for the past 15 years as an athletic trainer. She was hired at Pine Manor in August of 2004 as the Head Athletic Trainer and was quickly promoted to Associate Director of Athletics. She brings with her a broad range of experiences. Her
career started at the high school level and brought her to Boston University where she practiced for 8 years prior to her coming to Pine Manor. These experiences give her a broad range of understanding and perspective which will benefit her in this position.

Transistions and Additions at Pine Manor College
August 2007
Nia Lane Chester, Dean of the College, has been named Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College. Denise Alleyne, Dean of Student Life has been named Vice President for Student Services. Bill Boffi, former Director of Athletics, has been chosen for the newly created position, Dean for Student Retention. Steven Donovan, of the English Language Institute program, has transistioned into his new role as Director of International Student Affairs.Whitney Retallic was promoted to Director of the Center for Inclusive Leadership and Social Responsibility. Erica Long '04, former graphic & web designer, was promoted to Art Director. Also joining the college this fall is Robert Tracey, who will fill the role of Assistant Director of the English Language Institute program.
