Dennis Lehane’s Visit

Founding faculty member and writer-in-residence Dennis Lehane visited the Solstice MFA in Creative Writing Program at Pine Manor College this past weekend. He taught a course on “The Unreliable Narrator” in which he discussed The Bible, Othello, Stewart O’Nan’s A Prayer for the Dying and Graham Greene’s The End of the Affair. Lehane’s most recent novel, Since We Fell, stars an unreliable narrator, so he was able to speak to the group about how to do this aspect of fiction strategically. On Sunday night, Lehane gave an inspiring and engaging reading from his new book alongside two of our Solstice MFA faculty (Anne-Marie Oomen and Renée Watson). We are so glad that Dennis Lehane is part of the Solstice family, and we can’t wait to have him back!
