Federal and State Grants
The federal government and some state governments provide educational
grants for students who qualify.
- Pell Grant
- Eligible students may receive from $890 to $4,731 toward
educational expenses. Eligibility is based on need, as determined
by the Department of Education’s standard formula, which is revised
and approved by Congress each year. Apply with the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). PMC’s Federal School Code
for use on the FAFSA is 002201.
- Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
(SEOG)
- These grants are administered by the College under the guidelines
of Federal policy and awarded only to Pell Grant recipients. Eligible
students who need additional assistance may receive from $200 to
$2500 for their educational expenses. Apply with the FAFSA.
- Massachusetts State Grants
- Information about grants and other financial aid programs, such
as the MASSGrant program,
offered by the state of Massachusetts for state residents can be
found at www.osfa.mass.edu/default.asp?page=fin_aid_programs.
- State Grants
- Several states including Massachusetts, Pennsylvania,
Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island provide grant and
scholarship money that can be applied toward educational expenses
at Pine Manor College. Apply with appropriate state applications.
Many states have an early application deadline, often by April 30.
