Institutional Grants and Scholarships
Need-Based Grants
Financial need is reevaluated each year to determine
the level of institutional need-based grants, no matter if the
grants are continuing or newly awarded.
- Pine Manor Grant
- Grants are
awarded to full-time students who demonstrate financial need, as
determined by a standard formula used by the Financial Aid Office
which relates to the federal method of determining aid eligibility.
The grant is available to U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens
only. The award amount of the grant varies depending on the extent
of financial need. Financial need is reevaluated each year to determine
the level of continuing grants. Apply with the Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
and the Verification Worksheet for either dependent or independent students .
Pine Manor Colleges Federal School Code for use on the FAFSA
is 002201.
Scholarships Available for First-Year Students
Many institutional scholarships are awarded only upon initial entry
to PMC. These scholarships are renewable for students who received
them as long as they meet continuing eligibility requirements.
- Margaret
Elkins Leadership Scholarship
- This $3000 scholarship is renewable
for up to four years as long as the student maintains full-time
enrollment and a grade point average of 2.5 or better at the end
of each academic year, and continues to demonstrate inclusive leadership
and promote leadership in others while at Pine Manor College. To

- Academic Achievement Scholarships
- These scholarships are renewable
for up to four years as long as the student maintains full-time enrollment
and a designated grade point average at the end of each academic
year. Specific scholarship qualifications are as follows:

- Legacy Scholarship
- A $2000 scholarship is available to immediate family members (sister,
daughter, grandchild or great-grandchild) of a Pine Manor College
graduate. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years as long
as the student maintains full-time enrollment. Eligible students
should contact the Financial Aid office after receiving their acceptance
to the College.
- Collegiate Articulation Transfer Award
- A $2000 scholarship is available to students who transfer to Pine
Manor after completing an associate’s degree from an articulation
partner school with a cumulative grade point average between 2.5
and 3.0. No formal application is necessary for this scholarship
since evaluation will be made on the basis of application materials
submitted. The scholarship is renewable for up to two years as long
as the student maintains full-time enrollment and a grade point average
of 2.5 or better at the end of each academic year.
Scholarships Available for Returning Students
Pine Manor College does offer a limited number of scholarships which are newly
awarded to returning students each year.
- General Scholarships
- A number of
general scholarships are available to returning students from
endowment
funds established at the College. These scholarships are provided
through the generosity of alumnae and friends of the College and
are awarded to students who meet the specific qualifications set
by the donor. General scholarships do not typically exceed the amount
of a students financial need and replace monies awarded through
the Pine Manor Grant.
- Outstanding Leadership Scholarship
- Six
$1000 scholarships are awarded annually to selected PMC students
who have made significant leadership contributions to the College or
the community during the past year. Students must be nominated by a
member of the faculty or staff using an application form provided by
the Financial Aid Office during the Spring semester.
General Scholarships
A number of general scholarships are available to returning students
from endowment funds established at
the College. These scholarships are provided through the generosity
of alumnae and friends of the College and are awarded to students who
meet the specific qualifications set by the donor. General scholarships
do not typically exceed the amount of a student’s financial need
and replace monies awarded through the Pine Manor Grant.
Recipients of all institutional scholarships and
grants must maintain satisfactory academic progress in addition
to other eligibility requirements.
