PORTLAND, ME -- Pine Manor fell to 0-3 with a 17-3 loss to St. Joseph's of Maine Saturday afternoon in Portland, ME.
Sophomore midfielder Beth Deegan scored her team-leading eighth goal for the Gators. Freshman midfielder Myrell Redmond, meanwhile, extended her goal streak to three to start her college career to three.
The Monks took an 11-2 lead into halftime and held the Gators to three shots in the second half. For the game, St. Joseph's earned 33 ground balls to Pine Manor's 11, and worked 14 clears to seven for Pine Manor.
Alyssa Marchant led all players with six goals for St. Joseph's, while Amelia Santos scored four goals. Eight different Monks found the back of the net in all.
For Pine Manor, Colleen Tencza made a game-high 15 saves in goal.
The Gators return to action on Tuesday at Lasell at 4:30 p.m.
