THE ONLINE ENROLLMENT FORM MUST BE COMPLETED EVERY YEAR BY ALL STUDENTS.
Health Insurance Enrollment/Waiver Form
ALL students are enrolled in and billed the Premium for the Pine Manor College Student Health Insurance Plan for the academic year. This is done automatically, as mandated by Massachusetts Law. However, domestic students may waive participation in the College's Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan and receive credit for the Premium by documenting that they have comparable coverage under another plan. To have this charge removed from your account, you must complete the on-line Insurance Enrollment/Waiver Form. Foreign policies are not acceptable; international students are required to be enrolled in the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan.
To enroll or waive the PMC Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan:
- Log on to www.gallagherkoster.com
- Click on "Student Access"
- Select "Pine Manor College" from the drop down menu
- Click on the "Student Waive/Enroll Forms" link and follow the online instructions. (If waiving the insurance, have your health insurance ID card ready as you will need this information in order to complete the process.)
- Questions? Call Gallagher Koster at 617-769-6043 or 800-457-5599.
- More information can be found in the Health Insurance Brochure (coming soon).
Deadline for submission is September 1 (Fall Semester) or January 4 (Spring Semester)
The Pine Manor College Student Health Insurance Plan is underwritten by Combined Select Programs and is serviced by Gallagher Koster. The Plan offers liberal coverage at a reasonable cost and supplements the services provided at the on-campus Health & Wellness Center. The Plan provides worldwide coverage twenty-four hours a day, throughout the policy period, from August 15 to August 15. This feature can be especially reassuring to graduating students who may need a few months following graduation to secure employment. Many seniors enroll in the Plan to insure they will have this extended coverage.

The state requires Health Insurance for all Full-time and Three-quarter time students.
Comparable Coverage
For coverage to qualify as comparable, Massachusetts Law requires that the policy must:
- Be in effect throughout the academic year.
- Provide comprehensive coverage of hospital (inpatient and outpatient), physician services, mental health services, prescription drug coverage, lab work, X-rays and other diagnostic tests.
- Provide coverage for doctors, hospitals and other healthcare providers in the Boston area.
- Be underwritten by a U.S. insurance carrier. FOREIGN POLICIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Please Note: College students are NOT eligible for the new Commonwealth Care Plan.
If you have MASSHEALTH, your coverage ends on your 19th birthday (unless you meet specific exception criteria). Since Massachusetts law requires that all college students be covered by health insurance, you will be required to enroll in the PMC Student Health Insurance Plan upon reaching age 19, unless you have access to comparable coverage otherwise.
The Uncompensated Care Pool, which is commonly known as "Free Care" does NOT qualify as comparable coverage and enrollment in the Pine Manor Health Insurance Program is required.
