Whitney Retallic, Director; Dean of Student Affairs (interim)
Whitney has been with Pine Manor College since August 2000, working first in the Student Life Department and then moving into the Cilsr in 2002, first as the Director of Youth Leadership Programs and now as the Director of the Cilsr. Whitney was initially drawn to Pine Manor because of her enthusiasm for its Mission of inclusive leadership and social responsibility (ilsr), so it is appropriate that she now directs the Center of the same name. At Pine Manor, Whitney's work has included teaching several courses on ilsr, building community partnerships with Boston-area agencies, conducting leadership programs for PMC students, planning and facilitating youth programs for middle and high school students throughout New England, teaching two First-Year Seminars, supporting the work of faculty to integrate ilsr into the classroom (including the use of service-learning), and advising students. Whitney received her B.A. from Wellesley College, with a major in Women's Studies and a minor in Psychology. She received her M.Ed. from Boston University in the Community Agency Education Program.
