In Your Back Yard is a Pine Manor College series of educational talks for the local community. Our beautiful Moncrief Library has served as the backdrop for several community conversations on topics such as arts and entrepreneurship.  Please check back for announcements on future In Your Back Yardevents.  We look forward to hosting you at Pine Manor College.

The inaugural meeting of In Your Back Yard, took place on October 10th, 2017.
Reintroducing Pine Manor College and sharing the many programs and activities that are taking place on campus. The event highlighted two speakers, the Dean of the College and a Psychology professor, Diane Mello-Goldner, Ph.D., and Professor of Biology, Susan Bear, Ph.D. The programs they described were developed with students’ career paths in mind. Building on many years of student success assessment, the programs are carefully designed to support student success and ensure not only students' graduation but also the acquisition of skills and knowledge that will ensure their employability.

Pine Manor College is thrilled to have hosted our second community event of this academic year, Arts in Your Back Yard, in the beautiful Moncief Library. Professor of Art History, Willam Stargard, and Deborah Kronenberg, Assistant Professor of Theatre and Performing Arts, shared their purposeful approach of educating our students, providing them with real world experiences and applications through a Liberal Arts education.

In your Back Yard - a Pine Manor College's program that is designed for the greater PMC community - hosted local entrepreneurs LeRoy Watkins, Donna Chaplin, and Ben Krysiak for a lively discussion about entrepreneurship. Moderated by Asst. Prof. Joe Fargnoli, the topics included personal accounts of business challenges, resiliency, and many practical tips for all aspiring entrepreneurs.
