NASHUA, N.H. -- Pine Manor freshman Sybil Lynch (Hoboken, NJ), left, recorded a natural hat-trick, scoring her first three collegiate goals, to help lead Pine Manor to a 3-1 victory over Daniel Webster on Thursday afternoon in Nashua, NH.
Lynch struck in the 10th, 27th and 43rd minute as the Gators (1-3) captured their first victory of the season and avenged a 1-0 loss to the Eagles (1-2) in the season opener.
Alexis Pavelock (Saratoga Spring, N.Y.) notched her third goal of the season in as many games a minute and a half into the second half to break the shutout bid.
DWC pressed through the second half and saw two apparent goals called back as one was ruled offside while another was ruled a handball, allowing the Gators to escape with the victory.
Abigail Goslin (Wrentham, Mass.) and Ema Donlagic (Belmont, N.H.) helped pace the Eagle offense with 3 shots on goal each.
Kaylea Parkin (Red Hook, N.Y.) made eight saves in goal for DWC, while Natasha Kopystynsky (Johnsburg, Ill.) made seven stops for Pine Manor.
Pine Manor finished with an 18-15 total shots advantage including 11-3 on goal.
The Eagles open their New England Collegiate Conference slate on Saturday when they visit Mitchell for a 12:00 p.m. matchup.
Pine Manor hosts Vermont Tech. Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
