Meet the Staff

Lynne Love, Director
Lynne has been working in the field of early education and care for twenty five years. She received a Master of Science degree in Administration: Educational and Human Services Settings from Wheelock College in Boston and received her BA from Simmons College. Lynne came to Pine Manor College in 2007 after working for twelve years as the Executive Director of Southside Community Day Care in Framingham. She has extensive experience working with abused children and children at- risk for abuse and neglect. She has identified children with many different special needs and is skilled at helping families with the referral process for intervention. Lynne has also worked with many English language learners and welcomes diversity at the Child Study Center. Lynne is married and has three grown children of her own. She enjoys sailing, walking her golden retriever, and gardening.

Kelley Cabral, Lead Teacher
Kelley started working at the CSC in 2010 and holds an MS degree in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College. Kelley had ten years experience teaching at the Lawrence Extended Day Program in Brookline prior to coming to Pine Manor and served as a part-time Assistant Director for four of those years. In her free time, Kelley loves spending time with her husband and two school agedchildren. She enjoys reading, yoga, and playing with hertwo dogs.

Gertrude Grandchamps, Lead Teacher
Gertrude (Trudy) is a wife, a mom, and has been teaching at Pine Manor College (PMC) for sixteen years. She is a graduate of PMC earning a BA in Psychology with a focus in Early Childhood Education. Trudy describes herself as a good hearted person who grew up on a farm, in Port Salut, Haiti with her parents and sixteen siblings. She is the fifteenth child and likes spending time with family. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and dancing Zumba in the Boston area.

Tim Newell, Teacher
Tim has been a classroom teacher at the Child Study Center for 5 years since starting in Feb. 2006. Before that he was studying to be a middle school English teacher, but after his daughter attended the preschool here, he became hooked on teaching younger children. Tim has a bachelor’s degree in English from Grinnell College. He is married to an architect/artist and lives in Jamaica Plain with his wife and two children. He is an avid bicyclist, guitarist and old car buff.

Laurie Signore, Teacher
Laurie received her BA from Tufts University and her MSW from Boston College. She was a Social Worker in family and child therapy for 10 years until she had her own two children. Once her youngest entered first grade, she became a Preschool Teacher and has continued to teach for the past 12 years, loving every minute of it! She came to Pine Manor last year as a permanent sub and was thrilled when there was a Teacher opening this year at the Child Study Center. In addition to teaching, Laurie spends her time reading, horseback riding and doing yoga, in addition to volunteering with Therapeutic Riding lessons and experiencing an empty nest for a brief period of time while her children are in college.

Debbie Shaw, Lead Teacher
Debbie started working at the Child Study Center in 2008 and is currently working towards her B.A. in Early Childhood Education at Pine Manor College. She has 18 years experience working with preschool aged children and children with special needs. Debbie is a proud owner of three dogs and she’s an avid N.E. Patriots fan.
