    The State of the News Media: an Annual Report on American JournalismFrom the Project for Excellence in Journalism, affiliated with Columbia University, this report profiles newspapers, local television, radio, and ethnic media and presents data on pressing issues facing the media today.

    Media Awareness Network (MNet)An informative site on a number of different media issues, the site covers children and violence, ratings, cultural diversity, hate, and privacy. There is in-depth coverage of media portrayals of ethnic and visible minorities, as well as sections on media stereotyping.
