CLERMONT, FL -- Pine Manor dropped a pair of six-run games at the Dot Richardson National Training Center on Monday, falling to Penn State-Behrend 8-2 and Northland 9-3.
Tia Nelson picked up her first multi-hit game of her young career, going 2-2 with an RBI and a sacrifice bunt. Francisca Mendes went 1-1 with two runs scored and Kaylyn Delgado went 1-3 with an RBI in support of Nelson, who fanned five in six innings of relief.
Jess Kennedy provided the offense in the night cap, going 3-3 with an RBI and her second triple in as many days. Mendes and Nelson each went 1-3, with the latter scoring twice. Flavia Vicente went 1-2 with a run as the Gators fell to 0-4.
Pine Manor plays an evening doubleheader on Tuesday, taking on Pennsylvania's Pitt-Bradford at 5:30 and Minnesota's Northwestern College at 7:30.
