Chestnut Hill, Mass. – The Pine Manor College Athletic Department has announced a series of changes to its athletic administration and coaching staff. Hoping to increase the availability of coaches and staff to its student-athletes, the changes will affect multiple programs within the athletic department.
Erica Adams, who was hired as the head coach of Pine Manor Lacrosse in July of 2010 has now also been named Head Soccer Coach. A 2008 graduate of Nichols College, Adams was a three-sport college athlete, having played soccer, lacrosse and ice-hockey. In 2009, Adams was a member of the soccer coaching staff at Bishop Feehan High School, helping to lead the freshman team to an impressive 8-1-1 record in 2009. She also served as a lacrosse coach at Braintree High School for the last two seasons and is an assistant ice hockey coach at Westwood High School.
Kristi Lyman, who joined Pine Manor in October of 2009 and is currently in her second season as Head Softball Coach will now also serve as the Department’s Senior Woman Administrator. Lyman who had a standout career as both a member of the softball and field hockey programs at Providence College will continue to work with Pine Manor’s student athletes on a day to day basis as both a coach and an administrator. A 1999 graduate of PC, Lyman has coached at the collegiate and high school levels as well as at numerous camps and clinics.
Finally, Miles Roberts, who joined Pine Manor Athletics as an Assistant Volleyball Coach in August of 2010 and had been serving as Interim Sports Information Director since December of 2010, has been named the permanent Sports Information Director and Facilities Scheduling Coordinator. Roberts was a three-sport athlete in soccer, basketball and volleyball at Ithaca High School before attending Boston University, where he earned his degree in 2010.
