Pine Manor tennis falls in home opener

CHESTNUT HILL, MA -- The Gators fell to 0-3 on the season, dropping a 9-0 decision to Simmons on Monday.
For the Gators (0-2 GNAC), Chelsea Swiger and Mahelet Kassa lost 8-1 in second doubles action.
"Mahalet's backhand looked better today," said first-year coach Chris Pugliese. "We're starting to swing out more shots and learning how to finish strokes. I loved the fans today."
Pine Manor is in action again on Thursday, playing host to Emmanuel in GNAC action at 4:00 p.m.
