On March 15, 2009, ten students, one faculty, and two staff members from Pine Manor College will embark on a potentially life-altering trip. They will get the chance to experience, first hand, life in New Orleans post Hurricane Katrina and Rita. While in Louisiana, students will work alongside students from other areas in conjunction with the community-based organization Gulf Coast Volunteers for the Long Haul. Over the course of the week the group will assist with getting a mobile home project off the ground and the rebuilding of housing units for families.
