Diversity

Boundaries keep people and ideas separate. They often keep minds closed and stereotypes in place. Pine Manor College seeks to stretch the boundaries of culture, race, class, gender, and intellect through the practice of inclusive leadership and collaborative learning. Our success depends on the ability of students, faculty, and administrative staff to recognize and use diversity to forge the common good. Perhaps the greatest challenge we have as learners and leaders is to help weave the fabric of common good from threads of difference. It’s a difficult challenge, but one which is met each day by the PMC community.

“The diversity at Pine Manor College is extremely beneficial when entering into the working world.”

– Candice Wolfswinkel, ’97,
Grants Manager for the Waitt Family Foundation in California
