Are you interested in gaining leadership experience and assisting students who live in our residence halls?

Then apply to be a Resident Assistant (RA) at Pine Manor College.

We are currently accepting applications to fill RA positions for the upcoming Spring 2020 semester.

Resident Assistants are responsible for covering a wide variety of tasks within several areas. These areas include:

  • Community Development
  • Student Development/Programs
  • Discipline and Leadership
  • Information Source
  • Administrative Tasks

  • Be enrolled as a full-time student at the sophomore, junior, or senior level.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the college.
  • Have the ability to return to campus prior to the start of the spring semester (January 9, 2020) to participate in student leadership training.

Students starting at Pine Manor College this semester are not eligible to apply for Spring 2020 open positions. New students will be able to apply for the RA position during the student leader recruitment process in the spring semester for the 2020-2021 academic year. 

Timeline for Spring 2020 Candidates (Mid-Year Hire)

Tuesday, October 15: Application opens

Friday, October 25: Deadline for Spring 2020 Resident Assistant applications to be submitted

Monday, October 28 – Friday, November 1: Individual interviews for Spring 2020 Hire

Tuesday, November 5: Decision letters sent to candidates via email

Friday, October 8: Deadline for candidates to accept or decline Spring 2020 RA position offer

Thursday, January 9, 2020: Return to PMC early for Winter Training

Being an RA is not only a valuable service to your peers but can also help develop skills that will benefit you in life after PMC. Many industries value the RA experience and transferable skills cultivated through the position that contribute to their organizations. Some of these skills include managing others, effective communication, leadership, building relationships, time management and organization, the ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds, empathy, crisis management, listening, and more.
