Students live in three villages: East, West, and South. A village is composed of five small residential halls, each accommodating about 30 women, and a Commons which features an inviting central lounge with a fireplace, television, video player, and a public telephone. Each village also has a laundry room. Each hall consists of two floors: 4 double bedrooms, 4 single bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. There are a maximum of 12 students on each floor and 6 students to each bathroom.
Members of the Residence Staff and students organize activities in the villages which are an important part of each student's educational experience. In addition to social events, programming can include museum trips, short courses on first aid and self-defense, films and discussions about contemporary issues, workshops to enhance personal skills, as well as "fireside chats" with members of the faculty and administration.
