On December 2nd, the College honored the 2009 senior interns and their site supervisors at a Reception in the Moncrief Room. Interns enthusiastically spoke of how meaningful and transforming their internships had been, and of the wonderful mentoring they had received. Site supervisors praised PMC interns for the knowledge, skills, and the positive work ethic they contributed to their organizations. Several of the site sponsors have hosted PMC interns for a number of years.
Senior Internships, which are required of all students, take place in the fall and include 16 hours a week at a site related to the student’s major, as well as an on-campus weekly seminar led by a faculty member. This year students developed and practiced their skills at an amazing array of organizations, including the Danforth Museum, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Codman Square Health Center, WHDH TV, Herman and Herman CPA, The Home for Little Wanderers, Mason Rice Elementary School, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Sweet Tomatoes Pizza, Converse, and EPOCH Hospice Care.
