Head Coach
Cory Kinsella enters her third season as the Gators head coach with the building blocks firmly in place for a successful future.
She came to Pine Manor after spending 2006 as the head coach at Wheelock College. While at Wheelock, she guided the Wildcats to their first winning season in three years and first-ever appearance in the North Atlantic Conference tournament.
Prior to Wheelock, Cory served as an assistant at Lesley University and also spent a year as an assistant at her alma mater, Union College. She holds a national coaching license from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and participates in coaching camps throughout the country, including recent stops at the University of Virginia, Rutgers University, Wheaton College, Union College, and the Eastern Massachusetts Soccer Club. Last March, she continued her coaching education in Portugal while attending the NSCAA Algarve Cup Symposium.
In 2008, Kinsella recruited a program-record class of 10 first-year student-athletes to her team, including All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference selection Kasey Jeronimo and Alicia Grenier, who finished among the GNAC leaders in several offensive categories. Another of Kinsella's 2008 recruits, defender Christina Santos, was named to the All-GNAC Team as a sophomore in 2009, while yet another, goalkeeper Kayla Nielsen, was honored as 2009 GNAC Sportswoman of the Year.
As a midfielder at Union, she led the Dutchwomen to unparalleled success, posting a 62-12-5 record over her four years. Kinsella's tenure as a player included four Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association championships and four NCAA Tournament bids.
Also a recruiting coordinator for Pine Manor's seven sports, she graduated Union with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and earned her Master's degree in Sports Psychology from Boston University. In April 2009, Kinsella raised over $4,000 in running the Boston Marathon for America S.C.O.R.E.S., a Boston-area non-profit agency that combines soccer with literacy education among inner-city youth.
