The faculty were very friendly and not presumptuous or ego-laden or cloaked in their own hype. The staff were hard working but also involved; not so busy they weren’t a part of things. A great sense of camaraderie overall and community. The diversity was impressive. I appreciated the age diversity especially and geographic as well.

The Solstice Conference was quite wonderful – supportive, instructive, and with an amazingly talented faculty overflowing with writing wisdom and knowledge. The students were also so friendly and supportive and diverse.

[The Solstice Conference] provided a forum to review the nuts and bolts of my novel and a group of literate writers with great analytical gifts to offer valuable critiques of my writing. PMC also fostered a community of openness and sharing so that the work that started in our workshops could be continued after the workshop was over.
