The Moncrief Special Collections Room of the Annenberg Library houses records and books that reflect the diverse and rich history of the college. The Pine Manor College Special Collections is a collecting archives which gathers historical and cultural materials relating to the history of the College for the purposes of education and research. The following materials are available for use with a research request:
- PMC Yearbooks 1911-present
- Pine Manor Bulletin 1952-2010
- Pine Manor Magazine 1932-1943
- Institutional records, selected
- Records reflecting student life, work, and achievements
The Special Collections at Pine Manor College welcomes all members of the Pine Manor community--including students, faculty, alumnae/i, and administrators--as well as other interested researchers to use its collections and visit its reading room. The materials held by the Special Collections are unique; therefore it is of the utmost importance that all users treat them with respect and care. Unlike a library, materials in the Special Collections do not circulate. They may be used in the reading room of the Special Collections during open hours, and they may never be taken out of the Annenberg Library building without the permission of the Library Director.
A research request must be made in writing to the library staff stating the nature of the research being done and the materials to be looked at. This written request is for planning and documentation purposes only. An appointment must also be made during library hours at the convenience of the library staff. The library staff will do everything within its means to accommodate researchers, students, and the Pine Manor community.
Email Sarah Woolf (email@example.com) with your research request to set up an appointment!
