Miles Roberts joined Pine Manor Athletics as an assistant volleyball coach in August of 2010. In December of 2010, Roberts was named Interim Sports Information Director (SID), serving as interim SID until March of 2011 when he was formally named to the position of Sports Information Director.
As SID, Roberts is responsible for corresponding with and disseminating information to media outlets, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and sports information officials at opposing institutions; as well as publishing information promoting the institution’s five NCAA Division III athletic programs.
Roberts served as an assistant under Head Coach Mike Murphy for two seasons, helping the Gators go 10-15 in 2010 before going 14-9, the program's most wins in a decade, during the 2011 season. As an assistant, Roberts was primarily responsible for preparing scouting information, assisting with recruting as well as overseeing and working with players during practice. Roberts then served as the program's head coach during the 2013 season, leading the Gators to a 3-18 overall record.
Prior to coming to Pine Manor, Roberts worked at the Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC) in Newton, MA helping to organize statistical information for a research project on early childhood science education. While at EDC, Roberts also served as a website correspondent with the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), helping to write stories for the conference website as part of the conference's internship program.
A 2010 graduate of Boston University with a double major in Political Science and American Studies, Roberts was also a three-sport athlete in soccer, basketball and volleyball at Ithaca High School in Ithaca, NY, earning a spot on the Southern Tier Athletic Conference All-Academic team as a senior in 2006.
Miles is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He currently resides in Brighton, MA.
