Women Entrepreneurs Panel Discussion

On Monday, March 25th, Pine Manor College hosted a Women Entrepreneurs Panel Discussion co-sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Center for Women and Enterprise. As a college with a proud history of empowering women, it's a special honor to bring this professional symposium to Founders Hall during Women's History Month.

International Student Success Coach, Cyrus Konstantinakos, moderated the event, with opening remarks by Ieshia Karasik, PMC Director of Career Development, Robert Nelson, Massachusetts District Director for the U.S. Small Business Administration, and Susan Rittscher, CEO of the Center for Women and Enterprise (CWE).

Three successful entrepreneurs shared their stories in a panel discussion: Erin Mahoney, Founder & CEO of Girl Power Go, Emily Lagasse, Founder and CEO of Fedwell Pet Foods, and Ivy Lawson, Owner & CEO of Ivyees Honey. They described the ups and downs of starting a business and then took questions from the audience.

We thank the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Center for Women and Enterprise for joining PMC in celebrating Women's History Month by bringing this great event to our campus.

We also want to acknowledge our international students who helped make the event a success—Weiannan Zhang and Feiyang Yang of China, Jacobo Flores-Marines of Mexico, Saki Umeki of Japan, and Hyunjoon Kim of South Korea.
