CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The 2014 Pine Manor College softball schedule is now available online. First-year Head Coach Samantha Slonski will look to successfully guide the Gators through the 24-game campaign before heading to the 2014 Great South Athletic Conference (GSAC) Championships from April 25-27 at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia.
The 2014 schedule is highlighted by 12 home contests (six doubleheaders), including an opening weekend series versus the University of Maine at Presque Isle on March 22 and 23. The home slate also features a visit from schedule newcomer Framingham St. on Friday, April 4.
In addition to Georgia, Pine Manor will leave Massachusetts to make trips to New Hampshire and Vermont this season. The Gators will take on Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH in a doubleheader on Wednesday April 2 and Southern Vermont College in Bennington, VT, in their final regular season doubleheader, on April 22.
In all, the 2014 schedule features opponents from four different NCAA Division III Conferences. Along with facing fellow GSAC member Presque Isle, the Gators will take on three schools for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (Anna Maria, Mount Ida and Suffolk), four schools from the New England Collegiate Conference (Daniel Webster, Regis, Southern Vt. and Wheelock), and two schools from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (Framingham St and Mass. Maritime). PMC will also travel to take on Fisher College, a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
