The Ann Pappajohn Vassiliou Child Study Center (CSC) is a preschool for children from the age of two years and nine months up to Kindergarten age. Named for an alumna and former trustee, the CSC was established in 1974. The program’s purpose is to provide a high-quality education for preschoolers in the Chestnut Hill area and to offer a unique learning experience for Pine Manor College students. The children benefit from interaction with and the care of college students majoring in Early Childhood Education. Our high-quality program is licensed by the Commonwealth’s Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Open 5 days per week, 7:30 am until 5:00 pm, we offer part-time and full-time schedules for families September through June with the option of enrolling for the summer. A comprehensive curriculum is presented each day with the primary focus on nurturing the young children and exposing them to a variety of materials to expand their knowledge. The Child Study Center offers a summer program.

A Uniquely Perfect Location
Due to our convenient location just off of Route 9, our school, which borders Brookline and Newton in Chestnut Hill, MA, is a great option for parents driving into Boston for work. We have had families from Waban, Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, Roslindale and many other communities within the Greater Boston Area send their children to our daycare, preschool and pre-k programs. We find the children thrive on the diversity that comes with having families from different areas and cultural backgrounds. If our program sounds like it could be a fit for your child, please give us a call!
