Cyrus supports international students and promotes multiculturalism across Pine Manor College. He holds masters degrees in Education and East Asian Studies from Harvard University and is pursuing a doctoral degree in intercultural education at Boston University. He previously served in the national leadership of Japanese-language teachers in the United States and on a team commissioned by the Clinton Administration to set national guidelines for international student and study abroad programs. He has coached Fulbright/Humphrey Fellows in the U.S. and led students in photo-essay book projects in several countries. For fun, he loves to play ultimate frisbee.

Christopher Rivera, Assistant Professor of English at Pine Manor College, is a graduate of University of Delaware (B.A. Spanish 2001, Indiana University M.A. Hispanic Literature, 2003, and Rutgers University Ph.D. Interdisciplinary Studies, 2010. Christopher was most recently employed by Essex County College in Newark, NJ as the Chair of the Division of Humanities and Bilingual Studies.
