The curriculum for the major requires all students to take a core of 8 common courses. These courses are designed to provide the core knowledge base for work in community health. Each student also selects a minor from across the college curriculum – the intention is to develop a focused approach and a coherent set of skills in an area that can be applied to the community health profession. This reflects the emphasis of practitioners and professionals in the field for core competencies.
