A Celebration of Portfolios, Performances and AwardsPine Manor’s Achievement Day is a festive opportunity to reflect and recognize what we have all accomplished throughout the year.
This year’s ceremony opened with welcoming remarks from the President of Pine Manor, E. Joseph Lee, Ph.D., followed by remarks by the Dean of the College, Diane Mello-Goldner, Ph.D.Before presenting the first award Dean Mello-Goldner recognized the work by all members of the Pine Manor faculty – “Students receiving awards today owe significant part of their success to their professors” she said.The Ruth Allinger Gibson ’26 Teaching Award — voted by Pine Manor students — was awarded to Michele Ramirez, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology.
The presentations of awards included: the Academic Awards – presented by the head of each program; the Dean’s Award – presented by Dean Craig Hutchinson; and the Alpha Chi medallion presented to the Alpha Chi inductees who are graduating this year.
The Selection Committee for Commencement Speaker announced their decision and this year’s Senior Speaker will be Destiny Reyes, an Early Childhood Education Major from the Bronx in NY. We also enjoyed Student Exhibits and Presentations, as well as Dance Performances by dancers of our PMC Dance program followed by a Community Dinner.
