How PMC Helped Me
Peggie was an outstanding student and athlete at Pine Manor – Peggie is STILL the highest scoring women’s basketball player! She chose to attend PMC because “I loved the close location from my hometown, the small liberal arts school, beautiful campus, Boston location and competitive basketball program.” She found the liberal arts foundation to our curriculum as helpful because it “gave me the opportunity to experience different subject matters…their incredible internship program gave me a first hand opportunity to see the workforce in different subjects.” Peggie found that her senior internship experience directly led to her future career. She completed her senior internship at “the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission. Interestingly, it was through this internship that I learned about the administrative court system. I now work in the criminal court system.”
Peggie also has fond memories of her interactions with our dedicated and talented faculty and staff, “the faculty at Pine Manor is exceptional. I loved that each professor knew you by name and assisted you in figuring out what you enjoyed and wished to pursue. Through that process they helped give me the confidence I needed to figure out what I wanted to do in the future.”
Peggie adds that, “Pine Manor was instrumental in teaching me the skills and knowledge I needed to be successful. Through Pine Manor, I developed the confidence I needed to explore and find what I was truly interested in…Pine Manor has so many advantages that other big schools cannot provide. It has a fantastic internship program and allows you to develop personal relationship with faculty and staff which is invaluable to a young, maturing student…I am happy to help anyone with questions they may have about Pine Manor. It is a great school.”
