Sara-Anne Beaulieu

For 7 years at PMC and 15 years in total, Sara-Anne Beaulieu has been a professor and a tutor for international and first-generation non-native English speaking students. As an advocate and ally in the classroom, Ms. Beaulieu supports all students as they develop and hone their voice and their critical/analytical skills. She received a B.F.A in Fiction from Roger Williams University and an M.F.A. in Poetry from New England College.

Jesse Boliver 
Math and Spanish Tutor 

Bridgewater State University, B.S.

As the Director of the Learning Resource Center, Jesse constantly seeks opportunities to grow and improve the LRC and its staff. He leads the professional tutors of the LRC and manages their schedules; organizes and leads weekly staff meetings; communicates with the faculty and other PMC staff in terms of LRC responsibilities, functions, and efficacy; and serves on college committees including the Recruitment and Retention Committee. Jesse received a B.S. degree in mathematics from Bridgewater State University (formerly College) in 2007.

Carol Berg 
Writing Tutor

Andrews University, B.A., M.A.; University of Southern Maine, Stonecoast, M.F.A.

Carol supports all PMC students by working with them in their academic learning, particularly in English Literature and any writing questions they have with their academic learning. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English Literature from Andrews University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing, Poetry from the University of Southern Maine, Stonecoast.

Suzie Byun 
Biology and Chemistry Tutor

University of California, Irvine, B.A; University of Texas, Austin, M.A; Emory University, Ph.D.

Suzie tutors both core and elective courses offered by the biology and chemistry departments. She received a B.A from the University of California, Irvine with a double major of Chemistry and Biology; an M.A. in Chemistry from the University of Texas, Austin; and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Emory University.

Diane Juster 
Psychology and Social Science Tutor

Tufts University, B.A.; Harvard University, Ed.M.

As a tutor/mentor in the LRC, Diane has spent over 20 years providing individual support for the understanding and clarification of skills, terms, and concepts necessary for mastering course material in the social sciences, including psychology, social and political systems, and education. Diane and the students work together to develop lab reports and analyze research relevant to particular topics in their field; many of these students continue on to successful professional careers in these areas. Diane received a B.A. from Tufts University with a double major in Child Development and French, and an Ed.M. in Human Development from Harvard University.

Beck Hing Lee 
Business Tutor

UMass Boston, B.A., M.A., M.B.A.; Boston University, Ph.D.

Beck Hing provides tutoring for business subject areas such as Management Principles, International Business, and Economics. He also teaches a range of business and political science courses at other colleges and universities, including International Management, Operations Management, Cross-Cultural Management, International Relations, and East Asian Politics. From UMass Boston he received his B.A. with majors in Economics, Political Science, and Philosophy; M.A. in Creative and Critical Thinking; and M.B.A in International Management. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from Boston University.

Donna DeFuria 
Accessiblity Services Coordinator


Donna advocates for any PMC student with a disability and provides individualized accommodations to ensure equal access to the college campus and curriculum. Donna works in accordance with the ADA guidelines to make sure every student is given the tools to reach their full academic potential. Donna received a B.A. in Psychology from Boston University and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from William James College.
