June 5 – August 18, 2017
The turmoil of the recent presidential election has produced a new outpouring of protest, and with it, a new generation’s political artwork is seen on the streets.
Poster art, clothing, paintings, and sculpture from recent protests of all kinds is shown alongside historic work from the 1960s–1990s. Topics include immigrant’s rights, women’s rights, and Black Lives Matter. All objects in the show were made for a contemporary action or for this exhibit.
