CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Last Thursday, October 27, members of the Pine Manor College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) volunteered along with several other members of the Pine Manor Community at Cradles to Crayons.
Senior Christina Santos (Soccer), junior Margaret Roberts (Soccer, Lacrosse) and sophomores Amanda Powell (Soccer) and Macayla Kirylo (Softball) and 2011-2012 SAAC Supervisor Head Coach Erica Adams helped to clean and organize clothing and shoes for Cradles and Crayons so that they could be distributed to disadvantaged children across Massachusetts.
Founded in 2002, Cradles to Crayons is an innovative nonprofit that provides, free of charge, disadvantaged children with the essential items that all kids need in order to flourish.
Cradles to Crayons endeavors to provide homeless and low-income children with the essentials they require to thrive - to feel safe, warm, ready to learn, and valued.
